What the press and guides say .

Revue du Vin de France, May 2007
2004 Red, aged in oak casks 15/20: Very fine expression of the fruit on the nose and the palate, with a mineral touch. Elegant tannins, well-balanced with a long and crisp finish. A fine and subtle Gaillac.
2007 Hachette Guide (2 stars)
2004 Red, aged in oak casks: Meticulous care of the vines and an extensive drive to modernise have enabled this estate, bought in 2002, to produce some fine wines, such as this 2004 red, with a deep purple-tinted robe. With warm kirsch and spicy aromas, this wine is fleshy and rounded, bursting with ripe fruit underlined by a well-dosed crisp and vanilla-nuanced woodiness. The tannins appear mellowed, further proof of this wine’s harmony.
Dussert - Gerber 2007
A fine Red 2004 Gaillac, which I found particularly appealing, thanks to its purple robe, power, intense ripe redcurrant nose, richness, very good development and excellent accessibility. The 2003 red Gaillac aged in oak casks is flavoursome (with spices, liquorice,…), rich and full-bodied, concentrated, with both firm and rounded tannins, very persistent, and a wine to be laid down. The 2005 sweet white Gaillac is remarkable, with notes of candied orange on the palate, very exquisite, dense and smooth, perfect for an aperitif. The Gaillac rosé is beautifully coloured, full of aromas, and ideal for grilled shrimps, a very charming wine, just like the 2005 dry white Gaillac with its lingering nuances of dried fruits, both vigorous and tender on the palate. Why hesitate?
Hachette
1000 Wines of the world - New selection 2006:
2002 Red: Simplicity and elegance are the main qualities of this pleasant garnet-robed wine. After swirling, its superb tears slide down the sides of the glass. Its exquisite nose of blackcurrant, blackberry and cherry boasts slight nuances of pepper and peony. It is rich, rounded and ample on the palate; the red fruit predominates, complimented by mature tannins and fine liveliness, before a long fruity finish unfurls.
Hachette Guide 2006 (1 star)
2004 Rosé: A pale pink rosé with bright violent hints. The pleasant fruit aromas reverberate on the palate. Well-balanced and easy to drink.
2004 dry white wine: very lively, worthy of special mention.
Vinalies nationales Guide
Sparkling medium dry white: “Underneath its golden robe, tiny bubbles dance around, ushering forth a complex and intense nose of honey, nougat, candied fruit and dried fruit as well as gentle spices. This wine is tender on the palate, plentifully rounded and crisp, followed up by a very pleasant toasted flavour. Ideal for tasting with crepes suzettes."
The French Oenologists’ Guide to Wine 2004
2001 red: “It is the powerful and original nose, combining menthol and blackcurrant leaf nuances which marks the style of this Gaillac with crisp and bright tannins. The deep ruby robe, dotted with hints of purple, is eye-catching. It is a beautifully simple wine, very supple and which would be ideal with a leek quiche."

2001 sweet white wine: “An elegant wine with marked sweetness, notes of grilled bread, honey and beeswax."
